B-GIRL 4-EVER (II)
Another “marker.” Typed the last word and period on the preceding entry about b-girling and went directly to my email to find a message waiting from a fabulous b-girl named Maria. She’s a busy lady and a luminary in the breaking community, so I wasn’t sure if or when she’d respond to my request that she confirm lots of details in the book. And here she was — celebrating and validating the content about b-girls and “breaking” in my writing. Sweet, sweet synchronicity.
Turns out Maria’s really interested in seeing this experience reflected in a novel, reaffirming that ‘breaking is very much a personal journey of discovery and growth.” She provided me with another name/contact/fixture in the b-girl world, paving the way for a meeting. Reminded me of the huge upcoming annual b-girl event in Minneapolis on September 16 at Intermedia Arts… I missed it last year and am SO excited to finally attend. Responded to every one of my specific questions about moves and classes.
I felt like a kid opening presents, as I dug into each response. And once again, I feel so fortunate to be in touch with artists like Maria… generous, affirming, excited about another’s creative efforts. What an honor to make this connection, like adding another star in my firmament! Can you picture the shine of her presence?

You are in the zone! I love reciting the affirmation “the universe is conspiring in my favor” and that seems to be exactly what’s happening for you. You’re in-line with purpose and passion, so wonderful synchronicities and support are falling into your lap. Love how that works!
